Eugene Marathon and the USATF Oregon Association are proud to announce the 2026 Eugene Marathon and Half Marathon races will be the official USATF Oregon championship races in 2026.
This is the second year that the Eugene Marathon will be hosting these Association championships. Both races will start and end at Hayward Field at the University of Oregon on Sunday, April 26, 2026, with a combined 7:00 a.m. start.
USATF Oregon championship awards will be presented to the top three female finishers and top three male finishers who are USATF members. Participants must be members from any USATF Association to be eligible. Go here to join USATF. Contact membership@oregon.usatf.org for membership questions.
The USATF Oregon awards will be in addition to Eugene Marathon’s top three overall and age group awards.
“We're proud to partner with the USATF Oregon Association for the second straight year in offering additional competitive opportunities to participants in the 2026 marathon and half marathon,” Eugene Marathon Race Director Ian Dobson said.
USATF Oregon President Lynn Brown added, "USATF Oregon is excited to once again collaborate with the Eugene Marathon to host the USATF Oregon Marathon and Half Marathon Championships. This marks our second partnership with the Eugene Marathon, and we look forward to many more collaborations in the future as we continue to promote competitive excellence and community engagement in the sport of long-distance running across Oregon."
The Eugene Marathon, which began in 2007, is the Pacific Northwest’s largest marathon and takes place each spring on the last Sunday of April. The marathon and half marathon courses traverse through the communities of Eugene and Springfield, alongside the Willamette River, and on the same roads that the world’s best runners have competed on for years. All races start outside Hayward Field and finish on the iconic track inside the stadium.
"We are honored to renew our partnership with the Eugene Marathon for our half and full marathon championships. It is an exciting opportunity to continue to grow the sport. Whether you are a casual runner or a competitor at your core, it will be a truly special day for the running community here in Oregon," USATF Oregon Open/Masters Committee Chair Ivan Faulhaber commented.
United States Track & Field (USATF) is the National Governing Body for track and field, cross country, long distance running, race walking, and mountain trail running in the United States. USATF Oregon is an accredited association of the USATF.
