ELITE ATHLETE Program

Athletes who have achieved one or more of the 2026 elite or sub-elite performance standards may complete the Elite Athlete Program application and will be notified of their status within a week. Applications will be accepted on a first come first served basis with an application deadline of March 1, 2026. This program applies to the marathon and half marathon only.

Update: The 2026 Eugene Marathon and Half Marathon Elite and Sub-Elite fields are full and no longer accepting applications.

Prize Money

Prize money will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in both the marathon and half marathon. Prize money is equal for men and women and will be awarded based on gun time only.

Marathon

  • 1st Place - $1,000

  • 2nd Place - $500

  • 3rd Place - $250

Half Marathon

  • 1st Place - $1,000

  • 2nd Place - $500

  • 3rd Place - $250

Bonus Prize Money

  • Event Record Bonus - $2,000

    • If two athletes run under an existing course record, the bonus is paid to the first athlete to finish

    • Event record bonuses do not apply to the 5K
