Spectators

Bring your energy and get ready to cheer for thousands of runners and walkers from all across the country as they speed their way along the 26.2 and 13.1 mile courses. Hayward Field at the University of Oregon in itself is incredible, but when filled with thousands of cheering fans the energy is off the charts.

Runner splits will be available from our website on race day. Enter the runner’s name and/or bib number to see split times as runners cross miles 5, 10, 11(half only), 15 and 20.

You can also watch live video of the Marathon and Half Marathon finish from our homepage. The link will be available from the homepage on race day - Sunday only.

BEST VIEWING SPOTS

There are many incredible locations throughout Eugene to cheer on runners, many locations where you’ll see runners twice.

There might not be a better viewing spot than Hayward Field, where you can see runners start, see them run back through at mile 9, and see them turn onto the track and finish the Eugene Marathon.

Hayward Field will be open to spectators on Sunday starting at 7:00 a.m. No ticket necessary to enter.

SIGNS!

One of our favorite things is seeing the signs that spectators hold up for participants as they pass by. From motivational to humorous, holding signs is a great way to cheer on participants throughout the course. Take a picture of your funny or motivational sign and post it on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag #EM24Signs and you will be entered into a contest to win a Eugene Marathon prize basket! Just make sure if your sign says “You’re Almost There”, that you’re standing very close to the finish line!

Volunteer

Do you get bored waiting for your runner to finish their race? Have a hard time seeing your runner through the crowds of people at the popular spectator spots? Sign up to volunteer as a Course Marshal and get a front-row seat as the runners pass by! Click here to visit our volunteer page and reserve your seat on race day! BONUS: Course Marshals receive a Eugene Marathon beanie in addition to the other volunteer perks!

PARKING, DELAYS AND DETOURS

Check out the course map here. Streets that intersect with the course will be closed while racers are present. Saturday races are from 8:00 a.m.–9:45 a.m.  Sunday races are from 7:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.  Find specific road closure and parking information here.

REUNION

Make a plan to meet up with your participant in the festival area or in the seating bowl at Hayward Field on race day. Use the Race Day Map (coming soon) to find a spot to reunite. Pro Tip: before the race starts agree on a section number inside Hayward Field (lower seating bowl only) where you can meet your runner after they finish!

If you have friends or family running the Eugene 5K or Kids Duck Dash presented by OCCU on Saturday, take a look at those race pages for specific reunion instructions for Saturday.
